📋 Description

• The role of Creative Director at EBONY requires a visionary leader deeply immersed in culture and dedicated to upholding EBONY's heritage while delivering exceptional content to the global Black community.

• Joining our brand and marketing leadership team, you will play a crucial role in shaping the visual identity, narrative approach, and overall brand impact across various digital platforms such as social media, websites, videos, newsletters, and partnerships with branded content.

• This is a transformative opportunity to reimagine one of the world's most renowned and cherished media brands.

• Develop and implement a compelling creative vision that aligns with EBONY's mission, values, brand identity, and audience engagement objectives.

• Define branding, creative tone, messaging, design, and visual identity while ensuring consistency across all channels.

• Lead brainstorming sessions, introducing innovative and trendsetting content ideas across all platforms.

• Oversee the creation of visually captivating multimedia content, including digital covers, short videos, social graphics, editorial visuals, content series, and branded campaigns.

• Collaborate with editorial, integrated marketing, and studio teams to craft a content strategy that resonates with target audiences and boosts engagement.

• Create inventive storytelling formats to enhance audience interaction and revenue generation.

• Drive the creative direction of various digital content types like short-form videos, images, memes, GIFs, podcasts, and more, staying abreast of digital trends and technologies.

• Partner with cross-functional leaders to optimize content performance using data-driven insights.

• Cultivate a high-performing creative team that conceptualizes, scripts, produces, and edits social content across multiple platforms.

• Supervise designers, video producers, content creators, and copywriters to ensure top-quality output in all content formats.

• Foster a collaborative culture among creative, editorial, newsletter, social, and integrated marketing teams, ensuring creative ideas are aligned with strategy, schedule, brand, and budget.


⛳️ Requirements

• Minimum of 7 years in a creative leadership position, preferably in digital media, publishing, or content-focused industries.

• Impressive portfolio demonstrating expertise in digital storytelling, branding, and multimedia content creation.

• In-depth knowledge of digital content trends, social media platforms, and audience engagement strategies.

• Proven experience in managing creative teams, with strong leadership and mentorship abilities.

• Proficiency in design and video editing tools such as Adobe Creative Suite, Final Cut, After Effects, etc.

• Ability to balance creative vision with business goals and data-driven insights.

• Excellent communication and project management skills.
