📋 Description

• We are looking for a dynamic and strategic Creative Art Director to spearhead the creative journey for casual and casino game ventures.

• This pivotal role involves guiding the creative vision from inception to final assets, overseeing both internal and external creative teams, and effectively liaising with stakeholders to ensure cohesion.

• The ideal candidate excels at offering precise creative guidance, presenting concepts to stakeholders, and working collaboratively to deliver exceptional gaming experiences.

• Define and communicate the visual style, theme, and atmosphere for new casual and casino games, crafting captivating art directions that align with brand objectives.

• Manage the complete creative process, from initial ideas and storyboarding to finalized assets.

• Provide clear and motivating creative briefs to the art team, ensuring concepts align with gameplay objectives, market trends, and player expectations.

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams (game design, product management, marketing) to gather requirements and incorporate feedback into the creative vision.

• Present art concepts and design solutions to stakeholders, elucidating creative choices and gathering input at critical junctures.

• Ensure transparent communication with leadership, stakeholders, and external partners throughout the project lifecycle.

• Oversee the asset creation for characters, environments, UI/UX, animations, and marketing materials.

• Manage the development of game flows and ensure all visual elements enhance the player experience and support gameplay mechanics.

• Work closely with game designers and developers to ensure assets are production-ready, optimized, and seamlessly integrated into the game engine.

• Lead and mentor a team of artists, animators, and designers, fostering a collaborative and innovative workspace.

• Manage remote teams, external agencies, and freelance artists, ensuring alignment with project goals, timelines, and quality standards.

• Provide detailed and actionable feedback during reviews to ensure assets meet the creative vision and maintain consistency across projects.

• Establish efficient pipelines and workflows for the creation and review of game assets.

• Evaluate and integrate new tools and technologies, including generative AI, to enhance efficiency and innovation without compromising quality.

• Implement best practices for collaboration between internal teams and external contributors, including clear documentation and feedback loops.

• Stay abreast of industry trends in casual and casino games, player preferences, and emerging art styles.

• Explore and experiment with new visual formats, workflows, and tools to keep the team’s creative output fresh and competitive.

⛳️ Requirements

• Minimum of 7 years of experience in game art direction, digital art, or visual design, with at least 3 years managing remote teams, agencies, or freelance contributors.

• Strong portfolio demonstrating expertise in casual and casino game design, encompassing characters, environments, UI assets, and promotional visuals.

• Proven track record of overseeing the entire creative process, from concept development to finalized assets.

• Proficiency in industry-standard tools (Photoshop, Illustrator, Figma, After Effects) and familiarity with game development workflows.

• Ability to create presentations and convey complex design ideas to stakeholders with clarity and confidence.

• Strong grasp of game flows, UI/UX principles, and how art bolsters and enriches gameplay.

• Experience with resource planning, scheduling, and vendor management to ensure timely and high-quality project delivery.

• Experience working with major game publishers or in the iGaming industry (casino, poker, etc.) is preferred.

• Familiarity with generative AI tools (MidJourney, Leonardo AI, DALL·E, Runway ML) for prototyping and concept development is a plus.

• Proficiency in 3D tools (Blender, Maya, or Cinema 4D) is advantageous.

• Knowledge of animation and motion design pipelines (Spine, After Effects) is beneficial.
