• Creative Directors at Hook are visionary leaders who take full responsibility for the success of strategic planning, messaging, and design execution across multiple brand accounts. Armed with expertise in digital marketing, media, and production, they guide teams of creatives, designers, animators, writers, and engineers in a collaborative effort to deliver effective advertising solutions to complex marketing challenges.
• Functionally, Creative Directors are integral to specific brand or account groups, fostering enduring client relationships through consistent collaboration and ongoing campaign triumphs. Their combination of client trust and brand knowledge empowers them to lead individuals and teams with earned authority.
• In their day-to-day role, Creative Directors oversee the successful execution of various campaigns by multiple teams. They play a direct role in developing intricate campaigns, often serving as the primary source of innovative ideas and content.
• Creative Directors should possess a robust background in motion and design, actively engaging in projects such as social campaigns, motion graphic videos, pitch decks, branding toolkits, and explainer videos. Additionally, they should excel in crafting digital copy.
• While Creative Directors report to the Executive Creative Director, they operate as independent experts who primarily engage with the leadership of their assigned brand group.
• Minimum of 12 years of industry experience in a prominent creative role with a documented history of agency accomplishments
• Proficiency in hands-on design and/or motion graphics
• Flexibility to work during PST hours
• Availability for occasional travel to support shoots, pitches, client meetings, events, etc. (estimated at less than 15% annually)
• Experience with prominent tech brands is advantageous
• Previous success in growing and managing teams of 15 or more individuals
• Proficiency in conceptualizing diverse campaigns from broadcast to real-world events to viral social media initiatives
• Ability to address complex challenges from a strategic standpoint while also contributing hands-on when necessary
• Strong verbal communication skills, with a track record of presenting to various client levels
• Impressive creative portfolio showcasing relevant industry experience and award-winning work
• Demonstrated ability to collaborate with large teams in client-facing capacities
• Exceptional written and presentation abilities
