• As a member of the Design Foundations team in Core XD, you will play a crucial role in accelerating and collaborating with product teams for shared success.
• We are seeking a System Designer to take charge of the expanding component ecosystem within Hawkins Consumer.
• Your responsibilities will include maintaining and enhancing component libraries in Figma, refining designs based on user feedback, testing, and insights from cross-functional teams.
• You will be responsible for intake requests aligned with business and system needs, as well as facilitating prioritization with the engineering team.
• Collaborate with feature teams to drive adoption and influence Hawkins' roadmap to meet business requirements.
• Work closely with engineering teams to develop components based on design specifications rooted in technical requirements.
• Contribute to governance frameworks to ensure alignment across teams and platforms, ensuring all components adhere to quality standards and best practices.
• Advocate best practices and provide real-time support through office hours and Slack.
• Minimum 5 years of experience as a System Designer, along with previous experience as a product designer.
• Proficiency in Figma, with a track record of creating, maintaining, and evolving design libraries, and expertise in design systems tools and workflows such as Storybook and design tokens.
• Experience in designing for cross-platform Consumer and/or enterprise web products with a solid understanding of platform constraints and capabilities.
• Proven ability to govern and contribute to design systems by establishing standards, delivering impactful solutions, and driving adoption across teams and platforms.
• Strong problem-solving skills, balancing tactical execution with system-level thinking.
• Recognized as a trusted partner and mentor, fostering growth and collaboration by empowering peers and cross-functional teams to adopt best practices and deliver scalable design solutions.
• Comfortable navigating ambiguity while providing clarity to challenges that encompass design, technology, and business needs.
• Familiarity with A/B testing and utilizing data to inform and iterate on design decisions.
• Passion for accessibility and inclusive design, with a dedication to ensuring all components meet industry standards.
