• We are seeking a talented and innovative 2D Motion Designer to become part of our visual storytelling team at Simpli / Fern.

• Join us in shaping the visual identity of our explainers, video essays, and documentaries with polished and engaging motion graphics and animation.

• Collaborate closely with writers, editors, and producers to craft visual assets that simplify complex concepts and enhance storytelling.

• This position is perfect for individuals with a keen eye for design, expertise in motion design, and a love for journalistic and visual content.

• This freelance role is fully remote, offering flexibility and autonomy.

⛳️ Requirements

• Proficient in Adobe Creative Cloud, particularly After Effects, Illustrator, and Photoshop

• Strong sense of aesthetics, understanding of composition, typography, and color theory

• Minimum of 3 years of professional experience in motion design, preferably in explainers, video essays, or documentaries

• Capable of working both independently and collaboratively in a dynamic and creative setting

• Passionate about visual storytelling and editorial content

• Intermediate proficiency in the German language
