• The Blockchain & Climate Institute (BCI) is a global volunteer-led think tank that advocates for the use of blockchain technology in the fight against climate change.
• We are seeking a VOLUNTEER Graphic Designer who is creative and innovative, eager to contribute to the climate action community through design creatives.
• The Communications Officer - Graphic Designer will visually support the BCI Communications Strategy in a voluntary unpaid capacity.
• The ideal candidate should have a keen eye for visual communications and a passion for creating engaging content.
• Responsibilities include supporting BCI internal and external projects, collaborating with Communications Officer Grade colleagues.
• This role is part of the Communications Officer Grade within the Communications Branch under the External Affairs Bureau.
• Responsibilities:
• Support the implementation of the BCI Communications strategy.
• Raise the profile of BCI among relevant audiences.
• Conceptualize visuals for various communications activities.
• Create engaging graphics for different media platforms.
• Support BCI events, including major industry gatherings like COP27.
• Possess a relevant degree or experience in Graphic Design.
• Demonstrated relevant experience within an organization.
• Ability to work in a target-driven environment.
• Showcase a portfolio of strong visual communications work.
• Work independently and collaboratively to drive projects forward.
• Demonstrate creativity and storytelling skills.
• Understanding of communication channels and media outlets.
• Display flexibility, attention to detail, and strong organizational skills.
• Proficient in design software, Microsoft Office, and G Suite.
• Familiarity with communication tools like Slack and social media management.
• Desire to use video editing software is a plus.
