• We are seeking a highly skilled Concept Artist to assist in pioneering innovation in software and VR hardware.
• As a Concept Artist, your role will involve crafting top-tier 2D artworks and illustrations with a focus on conceptual art.
• You must possess strong artistic abilities and effective communication skills to engage in discussions, critiques, and creative content development.
• This position is a 12-month fixed-term contract, full-time (37.5 hours per week), and fully remote within the UK.
• Competitive salary based on experience is offered.
• Work closely with the Art Director and Concept Art team to translate game styles into tangible assets that enhance the game's essence through moodboards, key art, and research.
• Produce captivating artwork that effectively communicates concepts and aligns with project directives.
• Engage in sketching, visual brainstorming, storyboarding, and designing characters, environments, and props to create high-quality key art.
• Conduct research to ensure designs meet player expectations in form, function, and feasibility.
• Create assets in diverse styles for different game genres and player preferences, setting a benchmark for the art process.
• Support Marketing and Pitching teams with high-quality artwork, documentation, and promotional materials.
• Adapt to feedback from the Art Director and the art team to ensure cohesive project delivery.
• Demonstrated experience as a Concept Artist in the video game industry.
• Proficiency in all aspects of concept art and visual development, including character design, environmental details, and adapting to various styles.
• Thorough knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite and related software.
• Familiarity with hardware like Wacom/Cintiq and VR technology.
• Ability to generate visual concepts and respond constructively to feedback.
• Understanding of Unreal Engine or other game engines.
• Professional background in working with different art styles.
• Ability to remain composed under pressure and adjust to market changes.
