• CD PROJEKT RED seeks an Expert VFX Artist to join our Boston studio for Project Orion, the sequel to Cyberpunk 2077 and the next major game in the Cyberpunk series.
• The ideal candidate will utilize their extensive experience, exceptional mentorship abilities, keen attention to detail, and dedication to crafting top-tier assets to drive cutting-edge VFX in games.
• Responsibilities involve crafting high-quality real-time visual effects such as explosions, fire, smoke, clouds, weapons FX, debris, and weather elements.
• Mentor VFX artists to cultivate a culture of innovation, trust, and technical prowess.
• Collaborate with various teams to enhance gameplay, cinematics, and environments with top-notch VFX.
• Innovate and explore new workflows, tools, and techniques to advance real-time VFX boundaries.
• Ensure VFX content meets performance standards and technical constraints.
• Enhance environments with captivating and immersive VFX.
• Develop briefs for outsourced work, offer feedback, and uphold quality standards.
• Work closely with Directors and Production to strategically plan and estimate tasks in line with project objectives and schedules.
• Minimum of 10 years in the gaming industry, specializing in real-time VFX creation.
• Demonstrated leadership skills, with a history of mentoring and nurturing talent.
• Proficiency in real-time and baked simulations.
• Strong understanding of VFX tools and pipelines (Houdini, Max, Maya, etc.).
• Solid grasp of PBR concepts, real-time rendering techniques, shaders, and lighting.
• Extensive knowledge of performance and optimization for real-time VFX.
• Experience working autonomously to identify, execute, and deliver impactful work.
• Proficient in SideFX Houdini.
• Excellent communication, collaboration, and presentation abilities.
• Impressive portfolio showcasing VFX mastery in game development.
