Lead Product Designer

📋 Description

We are looking for a Product Design Lead to take ownership of our app’s end-to-end design experience and design system. This is a player-coach role in which you will be a part of one product-engineering team and work hands-on with that team on various projects, while also managing and mentoring a small team of product designers who are a part of other teams. You will play a crucial role in defining and implementing our design strategy, ensuring that our product solutions are user-friendly, accessible, and are aligned with business goals.

🎯 Requirements

Product Design Expertise : 8+ years of deep experience in modern UX, UI, and interaction design, with a portfolio showcasing successful design work in complex digital products

Tech-savvy: Strong grasp of technical possibilities and the ability to challenge teams to go beyond what is obvious

Design system expertise: Experience building, maintaining, and evolving a design system

Accessibility Expertise : you are familiar with a11y standards and implementation that are compliant and help create inclusive products.

Team leadership : 2+ years of experience with leading mid to senior level product designers , helping set processes and standards for the team , coaching and mentoring team members and providing opportunities for growth

Strong communication and influencing skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate across functions and levels.

Ability to balance strategic thinking with hands-on execution, thriving in both leadership and individual contributor capacities

Great-to-have fluency in German
