• We are seeking a talented Lead Animator to spearhead our quest for innovation in software and VR hardware.

• As the Lead Animator, your role involves designing, creating, and refining animations for various elements in the virtual world.

• You will oversee a wide range of animation tasks and provide guidance to the animation team.

• This is a permanent, full-time position (37.5 hours per week) that is fully remote within the UK.

• Lead and inspire the animation team to produce top-quality animations for VR games.

• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to ensure seamless integration of animations into the game.

• Establish and enhance animation pipelines and tools for efficiency and scalability.

• Mentor and offer feedback to junior animators.

• Collaborate closely with the Art director to realize the project's artistic vision.

• Ensure animations meet technical requirements and performance benchmarks.

• Stay abreast of the latest animation techniques and technologies.

• Implement animations using Unreal Engine.

• Conduct regular reviews of animation work and provide constructive feedback.

• Define motion planning and implementation processes for characters and their responsiveness.

• Seasoned Lead animator with a track record of delivering AAA game content.

• Profound understanding of animation principles and techniques.

• Ability to adapt animations to suit different game genres and art styles.

• Proficiency in animation software like Maya, Blender, or similar tools.

• Experience with motion capture and rigging.

• Strong communication and leadership skills.

• Capable of collaborative work in a remote team setup.

• Familiarity with game development pipelines, asset management, and version control systems.

• Strong analytical skills to address technical and creative challenges in animation.

• Background in VR animation.
