•This position is for an 18-month project with the possibility of extension based on project requirements.
•We are seeking an Art Director with expertise in UI/UX to create a new collection of 3D educational game simulations for K-12 students.
•You will be responsible for establishing the visual direction of our proof-of-concepts and final products in various subject areas such as human anatomy, engineering, and the environment, incorporating 2D, 3D, and UI elements.
•This role involves hands-on work in a small team, with access to external freelance/contract resources as needed, and potential collaboration with external development teams.
•Our primary objective is to define the product's direction and scalability.
•We are looking for someone who enjoys creating mock-ups from scratch and can navigate the early stages of development with a fresh perspective.
•Experience in pipeline development and working within a game engine environment is essential.
•You should excel in creating cohesion across diverse teaching subjects and effectively communicating complex concepts in a digital setting.
•Must have a relevant qualification in Fine Arts, Industrial Design, or equivalent experience.
•Minimum of 10 years in Art production for games or interactive experiences, with at least 5 years in 3D environments.
•At least 5 years of experience as an Art Director in a gaming studio or similar setting.
•Proficiency in working from a blank canvas and familiarity with AI creation for concept art.
•Strong UI and usability instincts, with a background in rapid prototyping and 3D real-time experiences.
•Skilled in tools such as blender, maya, and comfortable working in Unity/Unreal, with experience in pipeline building.
•Experience developing products for 12-15 year olds.
