📋 Description

• This is a remote position.

• Schedule: 20 hours a week, Monday through Friday 9am - 1pm San Jose, CA time

• Client Timezone: PST (California)

• With a launch planned for mid-April and a presence at a major trade show shortly after, this is an exciting opportunity to shape the digital landscape of a rapidly growing niche market.

• We’re seeking a talented and creative UI/UX Designer to craft an intuitive and visually stunning e-commerce platform that caters to both cafe owners and suppliers.

• In this role, you’ll have the unique opportunity to shape the user experience from the ground up, working with cutting-edge e-commerce technology on the Shopify platform.

• You’ll be responsible for creating distinct visual identities for supplier and cafe owner interfaces, developing intuitive user flows, and ensuring a seamless experience across all devices.

🎯 Requirements

• Proven experience in UI/UX design for e-commerce platforms, with Shopify experience being a significant plus

• A strong portfolio showcasing your design process, problem-solving skills, and ability to create visually appealing interfaces

• Proficiency in industry-standard design tools such as Figma, Sketch, or Adobe Creative Suite

• Solid understanding of web design principles, typography, and color theory

• Familiarity with HTML, CSS, and JavaScript to effectively communicate with developers

• Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to articulate design decisions

• A passion for coffee culture and an understanding of the cafe industry is a plus

• Ability to work in a fast-paced startup environment and meet tight deadlines

• Creative problem-solving skills and attention to detail

• Enthusiasm for staying up-to-date with the latest design trends and e-commerce best practices
