UX Product Designer - Engineer

📋 Description

• Work for a mission-driven nonprofit, designing products for coffee farmers.

• Focus on internal tools software for data collection.

• Collaborate with product managers and engineers to improve data collection products.

• Conduct user research and develop design concepts.

• Improve user experience of existing features and ensure usability.

• Collaborate to maintain a design system and establish UI/UX guidelines.

🎯 Requirements

• Strategic mindset and a passion for finding simple, usable solutions to complex problems

• Strong UX and visual design competencies and strong understanding of interaction patterns for usable, performant and accessible web and mobile applications

• Strong understanding of the end-to-end design process, from identifying needs & pains to delivering coherent user experiences

• Systems thinker with the ability to connect the dots in an ecosystem of applications

• Strong written & verbal communication skills, ability to present concepts to the team and provide feedback on concepts from peers

• Familiarity and comfort with common design and prototyping tools (e.g. Figma, Balsamiq, Excalidraw)

• Multiple years of professional experience as a product designer or user experience or design engineer in a team environment.
