📋 Description
• We are looking for a seasoned and experienced UI/UX SME with extensive experience supporting Federal and DoD organizations.
• The UI/UX SME will be part of one or more teams to support Federal and DoD clients and act as an evangelist and mentor to foster the incorporation of UI/UX in an agile environment.
• The UI/UX SME must understand the business objectives, stakeholder vision, user needs, and technical challenges associated with the software Global InfoTek builds.
🎯 Requirements
• User-Centered Research: Expertise in conducting user interviews, contextual inquiries, and usability testing and accessibility standards (e.g., Section 508 compliance).
• UX Strategy and Execution: Proven ability to define and implement UX strategies that align with customer goals and mission requirements.
• Facilitation Skills: Proficiency in leading workshops, stakeholder meetings including government, contractors, or agencies., and design sprints to drive collaborative problem-solving.
• Enterprise Design Thinking: Deep understanding and application of Enterprise Design Thinking methodology or equivalent frameworks.
• Visual Design Proficiency: Strong knowledge of digital design principles, including color theory, contrast, typography, and layout grids.
• Communication Excellence: Ability to convey design ideas through compelling storytelling and clear communication tailored to technical and non-technical audiences.
• Design Tools Expertise: High proficiency in industry-standard design tools like Figma, Lucidchart, and other open-source software solutions.
• Desirable Skills: DoD Expertise: Familiarity with DoD Enterprise DevSecOps Reference Design and compliance with DoD cybersecurity frameworks.
• Advanced Usability Research: Experience conducting in-depth usability research methods such as stakeholder interviews, contextual inquiries, and user journey mapping.
• Agile and DevSecOps Toolchains: Proficiency with tools like Jira, GitLab, or Kubernetes, as well as DoD-specific tools and processes.
• Air Force Domain Knowledge: Experience supporting Air Force mission domains, including Cyber Operations, Air Operations, or other related areas.
• General Expectations: Ability to work collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams in a high-security, mission-critical environment.
• Strong problem-solving skills and a commitment to delivering intuitive, mission-aligned design solutions.
• Desirable Certifications: Certified Usability Analyst (CUA). User Experience Certification (Nielsen Norman Group or similar). SAFe Practitioner or Agile UX certifications, depending on the agency's practices.
