NJ/NY Gotham FC (“Gotham FC” or “the Club”) is a National Women’s Soccer League (“NWSL”) team representing New Jersey and New York. The team plays at Red Bull Arena in Harrison, NJ.

The Role:

Gotham FC is looking for a Designer & Animator to join the Brand Marketing & Fan Experience Team to drive all creative and marketing assets to elevate the brand across all consumer-facing touchpoints. You will create static and dynamic assets for all business verticals and be responsible for designing graphics, art, and animation for content across a variety of channels – including social, email, website, print projects, signage, and other executions as needed. This role will also be responsible for creating franchise logos, intro/outro logo lockup animations, and more, to develop Gotham FC’s brand – creating iconic, epic creative executions to bring our story and team to life.

Key Responsibilities:

• Concept and execution of design assets based on briefs provided by business stakeholders.
• Develop and present on-brief design solutions that support the achievement of business objectives, align with brand guidelines, and are delivered on the provided timeline.
• Design for a range of platforms inclusive of social media, email, web, app, out-of-home, in-venue signage and print.
• Incorporate feedback, provide multiple design drafts, and collaborate with stakeholders to achieve an ultimate final deliverable.
• Bring forward innovative, creative visual ideas and concepts to propel Gotham FC’s brand forward across all channels.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's Degree in Graphic Design/Visual Arts Preferred
• A portfolio is required to apply for this position
• 2-4 years of experience in a similar role
• Animation experience/skills preferred
• Ability to design/animate across different types of artistic styles and platforms
• Highly motivated, creative problem solver who is continually presenting new ideas and iterating on your work product
• Ability to take projects from initiation to completion with minimal supervision and strong attention to detail
• Excel in fast-paced environments, supporting multiple projects/team members and working on multiple projects simultaneously, working cross-functionally to fulfill requests
• Outside-the-box thinker with the ability to tell compelling stories via creative
• Strong communicator, both verbally and visually
• A passion for women’s sports and a desire to make Gotham FC’s visuals iconic, unique, and breakthrough  
• Experience bringing brands to life through static and dynamic digital designs, such as creating animated logo lockups for video series, franchises, partners & more
• Heightened lens for social media design, such as matchup art, thumbnail design
• Experience with art direction, photography, and motion graphics is a plus

Capability & Other Characteristics:

• Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite, After Effects, Premiere
• Proficiency in Figma
• Proficiency in Google Suite
• Must be able to work a hybrid schedule: Tuesday-Thursday in office in Jersey City
• Must be able to attend home games at Red Bull Arena
• Must have experience in both static and dynamic digital design
• Legally authorized to work in the United States
• Ability to work a flexible schedule, including nights, weekends, and holidays

Location:

Based at Gotham FC’s business office, which is located at 15 Exchange Place Jersey City, New Jersey, on a hybrid working schedule which consists of three core in-office/in-person days (Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday) and two non-core days (Monday and Friday), with the option of being in the business office or remote. Ability to attend all home games and any mandatory events as well as away games, as necessary.  A willingness to travel for other business-related needs, as they arise. Ability to work at the team’s soccer operations office in Whippany, New Jersey, as needed. Gotham FC requires its associates to live in its market, that is, within reasonable commuting distance of Gotham FC’s offices, practice facility and Red Bull Arena.

Job type:  Full-time, Exempt position

Salary range:  $75,000 - $90,000 annually
