Web Design Supervisor

📋 Description

• This position is a 12-month full-time temporary role.

• We are in search of a forward-thinking and exceptionally skilled Web Design Supervisor to lead the complete development process of our web-based projects.

• The ideal candidate should possess a strong technical background, demonstrated leadership abilities, and a strategic approach to guide teams in crafting, enhancing, and managing top-notch, scalable websites and web applications.

• Close collaboration with diverse teams, promoting technical excellence, and ensuring project completion within deadlines and scope are crucial aspects of this role.

• Enhance the skills, dedication, and understanding of our graphic design team continuously.

• Collaborate with your manager, fellow supervisors, and Account Managers to ensure that new site designs, revamps, and custom projects surpass client expectations and align with business objectives.

• Supervise and enhance client meetings to grasp our clients' visions, branding, and design concepts or project requirements, fostering relationships and setting clear expectations.

• Keep Account Managers and clients informed about design project progress, estimates, and quotations through effective communication.

• Assist Account Managers in comprehending best practices and design constraints, and improving task delegation to enhance ongoing project workflow, efficiency, and estimate accuracy.

• Take charge of designated management areas: website mockups, PPC ad design, website banners, graphic design, and email design.

• Manage the Design Guide(s) and Design Library to establish guidelines, structure, and best practices that boost the design team's effectiveness and quality of work.

• Regularly assess processes for effectiveness and quality, and design tasks (on a weekly basis), covering site and page designs, ad and banner designs, and email designs.

• Ensure designers regularly upload well-organized design files to the Design Library for backups and easy access by other team members.

• A compelling portfolio showcasing original concepts and designs is required with your application. Only applicants with a portfolio will be considered.

• Minimum of 5 years of relevant experience, preferred

• Prior experience in leadership and team management

• Strong verbal and written communication skills

• Ability to collaborate effectively with remote teams across various time zones

• Proficient in Project Management

• Excellent problem-solving skills

• Detail-oriented, self-driven, disciplined, and organized

• Proficiency in Adobe Photoshop, Adobe XD, and Illustrator

• Experience with Figma is a bonus

• Proficient in creating cohesive website mockups, online advertising (PPC), emails, and optimized web graphics

• Knowledge of design fundamentals such as typography, layout, balance, and proportion

• Familiarity with HTML and CSS is an advantage

• Up-to-date with current web design trends and techniques

• Ability to create or source graphics for websites and ads, like icons, UI elements, and images
