Our ideal Web Designer (UI/UX) - Creative Director will lead the strategy and execution of website projects, including e-commerce sites, marketing websites, and platform designs, with a strong focus on creative direction and project management. You will ensure that all design projects meet established standards and guidelines while coordinating efforts across multidisciplinary teams. This role involves managing the entire lifecycle of web projects, from inception to deployment, with a keen eye for detail, exceptional organization, and effective communication. You will also be responsible for setting and managing client expectations, ensuring timely delivery, and overseeing multiple projects simultaneously.

Responsibilities:

• Collaborate with web developers and UI/UX designers to create innovative website designs across various industries.
• Design unique, purposeful, and award-winning websites and digital interfaces.
• Develop website layouts and user interfaces using CMS platforms like WordPress, Shopify, and WebFlow.
• Create user experiences (UX) and user interfaces (UI) for web applications.
• Participate in the implementation and integration of websites.
• Communicate clearly with clients, presenting work and translating feedback into actionable tasks for Creatives.
• Manage projects from brief to completion using Designity’s tools, ensuring quality results.
• Understand client goals, identify solutions, manage timelines, and ensure successful project outcomes.
• Mentor and guide Designity’s creatives, setting direction and ensuring their growth.
• Serve as a key decision-maker, leader and mentor within the team.

Qualifications:

• 10+ years of experience in building marketing websites, e-commerce sites, platform designs, and other digital products.
• Proficiency with CMS platforms such as WordPress, Shopify, and Wix.
• Expertise in FIGMA, InVision, and other web design tools for creating UI/UX.
• HTML/CSS knowledge is a plus.
• Experience in a creative/design agency or as a freelancer overseeing client projects is preferred.
• Experienced in building websites for diverse industries.
• Proven project management skills with the ability to create briefs, timelines, and manage projects independently.
• Experience building and maintaining client relationships, setting expectations, and communicating updates.
• Experience mentoring and guiding creatives at various levels.
• Detail-oriented and organized to deliver pixel-perfect quality on time.
• Exceptional presentation and communication skills.
• Strong portfolio showcasing web design expertise and strategic direction.
• Bachelor’s/advanced degree in Marketing, Computer Science, Communication, Project Management, or related field; management education is a plus.
• Self-motivated, team-oriented, with an entrepreneurial mindset.
• Located in the US or Canada with excellent verbal and written communication skills in English.
• Quick learner with a passion for processes and multitasking.

Compensation: $85,000 - $130,000
