UI/UX Designer - Intern

📋 Description

• Contributes to ONC’s mission of providing nonpartisan news, opinions, and policy solutions

• Complete essential tasks in the technology department

• Support to clean up page designs, fix bugs, complete pages, and tighten website

• Work in FIGMA or WP, create designs including graphics for website, newsletters, advertisements, fliers

• Work closely with COO, CEO, Team Lead, Director of Technology and other UI/UX Design Interns while working independently

• Coordinate in a remote environment and maintain high level of communication

• Commit at least until April 30, 2025

🎯 Requirements

• Interest in UI/UX Design or working towards a degree in Graphic Design, UI/UX Design, Human-Computer Interaction, Computer Science and/or related fields

• Experience with the modern design and prototyping software Figma required

• Working knowledge of WordPress, PHP, Python or similar front-end frameworks preferred

• Knowledge of InDesign, Illustrator, Photoshop a plus

• Responsive, consistent, and effective communicator, even during conflict

• Ability to work remotely and on their own schedule in order to make deadlines

• Submit a portfolio of previous work to demonstrate your skills

• Ability to attend the weekly Organization-Wide meetings

• Ability to attend weekly UI/UX Design team meetings

• Must be authorized to intern in the U.S.
