• Join Ford to drive the vision, strategy, and implementation of the Ford.com Web Design System.
• Utilize design expertise to balance web design standards alongside business goals, branding aesthetics, and marketing needs.
• Work with teams of designers and developers to ensure consistency across different tech stacks.
• Conduct workshops/design audits to drive the design system forward and engage with teams for adoption.
🎯 Requirements
• Bachelor’s degree in fine arts, design, or computer science, or equivalent work experience.
• Minimum of 5+ years of professional experience in a user experience design or digital web design role, either in-house or at an established agency supporting global brands.
• Design portfolio that highlights design systems you have contributed to; or a strong portfolio of work that demonstrates designing for end-to-end experiences, and contributing to multiple stages of product development lifecycles. (Please include portfolio password on résumé)
• Strong working knowledge of Figma components, variants, variables, collections, and modes.
• Excellent collaborative and problem-solving skills, and willingness to adapt and learn new technologies.
• Great skill or mastery of Figma components, variants, variables, collections, and modes.
• Understanding of modern front-end technologies and frameworks.
• Basic knowledge of markdown, html and css, and familiarity with basic git operations.
• Experience with conforming to Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG).
• Experience designing for consumer auto experiences, dealer experiences, storefronts, e-commerce, or financing workflows.
• Ability to create interactive experiences with prototyping software that can support user testing or proof of concepts.
• Experience working and collaborating with diverse teams in a dynamic, rapid-growth environment.
• Desire to thrive in a fast-moving environment.
