Graphic Designer

📋 Description

• Create visual concepts to support IYR’s communication initiatives.

• Ensure design elements adhere to IYR’s style guidelines.

• Develop graphics and layouts for communications assets including for online platforms and printed materials.

• Design and coordinate the execution of IYR branded materials such as merchandise.

• Lead the design process to execute and deliver visuals to respond to internal and cross departmental deliverables.

• Liaise with external printing vendors as required.

• Offer event and workshop support for IYR activities such as slide design and photography.

• Brief and advise IYR departments with regard to design style, format, print production and timelines.

• Uphold and promote the organization’s cultural values and guiding principles in all workplace practices.

• Engage with the Indigenous community and support initiatives that strengthen relationships and collaboration.

• Carry out duties in a manner that does not adversely affect health and safety.

🎯 Requirements

• 1+ years of graphic design, content creation, or other equivalent experience

• 1+ years working with Indigenous or other underrepresented communities and organizations

• Strong administrative experience, with the ability to manage multiple projects and tasks simultaneously

• Proven written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to convey complex information clearly

• Excellent organizational and time management skills with a high attention to detail.
