Learning Experience Designer

📋 Description

• We are currently hiring for an experienced remote Learning Experience Designer to join our team here at Joyce University.

• The Learning Experience Designer (LXD) plays a crucial role in enhancing the educational experiences of our online students.

• This position is dedicated to developing, implementing, and refining engaging instructional materials and courses to meet the diverse learning needs of our students.

• The LXD works closely with subject matter experts (SMEs) and academic leadership, utilizing educational theories and technologies along with instructional design principles to create effective, engaging, and accessible online learning solutions that align with our commitment to student and academic excellence.

• This role reports directly to the Director of Learning Experience and Technology.

🎯 Requirements

• Required: Master’s degree in Instructional Design, Educational Technology or a related field.

• 3-5 years of experience in instructional design, e-learning development, training, or a related field.

• Experience designing and developing engaging innovative online courses for higher education.

• Experience with innovative course authoring tools.

• Proficiency with Canvas LMS and e-learning innovative authoring tools such as Articulate, H5P, or similar.

• Preferred: Doctorate degree (Ph.D. or Ed.D.) in Instructional Design, Educational Technology, Curriculum and Instruction, or a related field.

• Experience teaching in a higher education environment.

• Quality Matters (QM) certification or experience applying QM standards.

• Certification or demonstrated experience in project management (e.g., PMP, Agile, or related training).
