3D Generalist

📋 Description

• We are seeking a dynamic and innovative 3D Generalist to become a part of our visual storytelling team at fern and Simplicissimus

• As a member of our team, your primary responsibility will be crafting top-notch 3D visuals that elevate our explainers, essays, and documentary-style videos by adding depth, flair, and narrative coherence

• You will engage in close collaboration with producers, editors, and motion designers to redefine the boundaries of journalistic video aesthetics

• Availability for work is expected to be frequent

⛳️ Requirements

• Proficient in Blender at a professional level (experience with Unreal Engine 5 is a plus)

• Keen eye for design, lighting, and visual storytelling techniques

• Minimum of 3 years of professional experience in 3D production, preferably focusing on explainers, essays, or documentaries

• Strong grasp of modeling, texturing, rigging, lighting, animation, and compositing workflows

• Ability to work independently, reliably, and collaboratively

• Enthusiasm for visual content and editorial narrative

• Intermediate proficiency in the German language
