Jewelry CAD Designer

📋 Description

• VRAI is one of the fastest-growing digital-first direct-to-consumer brands.

• Modernizing diamond jewelry through the exclusive use of sustainably created diamonds.

• CAD Designer is responsible for creating fine jewelry products in Rhino and maintaining the 3D model library.

• This contract role works 30-40 hours per week, executing designs for existing and new jewelry collections.

• Ensure designs meet manufacturing feasibility and function while aligning with VRAI brand identity.

🎯 Requirements

• Four-year BA or BS degree in Design with an emphasis in 3-D Jewelry Design preferred or a minimum of 5 years in jewelry industry CAD work experience.

• Proven ability to manage 3D projects from concept to production successfully in Rhino CAD design software creating solid, workable polysurface files, with a portfolio showcasing successful fine jewelry launches.

• Extensive knowledge of fine jewelry construction, gemology, precious metals, and materials, as well as various stone setting techniques, mechanisms (clasps/hinges) engineering, and manufacturing processes.

• Ability to read and interpret design rendering and engineering documents; experience with creating custom designs for customers for custom-made orders is a plus.

• Must have excellent communication skills, be able to effectively work in a team environment, have impeccable attention to detail, be highly organized with the ability to manage several development projects at one time, prioritize tasks, and meet deadlines.
